Challenges
Building a unified solution for airport proactive security
Growing passenger volume forced MexiGrowing passenger volume forced the management of the Mexico City Airport, the main and the busiest international airport in Mexico and Latin America, to start building a truly modern airport security system. The one that would have made security management more unified by combining the existing analog infrastructure with the new IP and complementing it with intelligent video analytics. As a response to this challenge, the Airport’s integrator LTP Global Software chose to create an AI-powered unified video security solution.
It was decided to create two Command and Control Monitoring Centers in two terminals for managing all the operations across all cameras: starting with security check points, waiting zones, and shops, to the airport perimeter, the airfield itself, and the runway. This lets security operators handle events within one framework, without switching from one system or screen to another during an incident. It allows all incidents to be monitored and controlled on one system to avoid inconvenience and disruption associated with following the event from the cameras of one video management system to another.

Result
Central overview and fewer incidents
Thanks to its AI-driven, unified video management system, the Mexico City Airport now boasts a much more efficient airport security system. It meets the main goal set — to ensure the passengers and personnel safety at the site. As a result, the airport now is seamlessly monitored everywhere, inside and outside, across all terminals, from the security and personal baggage checks to the airport perimeter. There are no more blind spots. Each zone is monitored and controlled on one system, eliminating the disruption of tracking events across cameras from different video management systems. Axxon One VMS helps centrally manage and coordinate security personnel, making sure that the airport expansion would not compromise its security.
